About Suzanne
Suzanne Weinberger Campbell
Raised in Madison and Mequon Wisconsin, Suzanne was attracted to the arts at an early age, becoming proficient in oil painting, watercolors pencil drawing, sewing, knitting, jewelry making, and furniture design and crafting. Majoring in Fine Arts at Alverno College in Milwaukee, she studied in Rome, Italy her final year, earning a double major in Fine Arts (focused on Painting, Ceramics and Jewelry) and Business Management, with a minor in Philosophy.
After various corporate roles in Milwaukee Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois, Suzanne moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico serving again in traditional business roles as the communication executive for the local destination marketing organization and in major account jewelry sales for a sterling silver and gold manufacturer/wholesaler of the unique and distinctive contemporary and Southwestern jewelry that melds metals and semi-precious gems, all the while continuing to refine her painting skills in oils, watercolor, jewelry design, furniture design, photography and sewing. Infatuated with the creativity and cultural history of Southwest jewelry designers, she continued designing and creating her own bracelets, necklaces, and earrings as a hobby since 1986. Learning the spatial use of gems, compatible colors and relationships, Suzanne has transformed into a respected designer with versatility of wear, Southwest influence, and customer tastes at the center of her creations.
A true student of art, Suzanne’s creative genius, is by some accounts, a cross between famous artists; Georgia O’Keefe, Ben Yazzie, Frida Kahlo, Matisse, Picasso, Cezanne, Hopper, Monet, John Hardy, Alice Neal, and Gustave Caillebotte, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, David Hockney, Frank Lloyd Wright, Alexander Henry M'Intosh, Gustav Stickley, Le Corbusier, Marcel Breuer, Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobson, Antoni Gaudí, Barbara Barry, Florence Knoll Bassett, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Mapplethorpe Annie Leibovitz and Mies van der Rohe.
When not designing and creating, she enjoys skiing (instructor), scuba diving, riding horses, traveling with her husband to explore cultures and architecture, and playing with the family savant, Kenzie, an Australian Shepherd.
Enjoy the Love, Mystique, and Quality of her one-of-a-kind creations.
